Taiwan-Bound Beneteau Oceanis 51.1 Handed Over In Hong Kong

One of the greatest pleasures of selling boats is organising a memorable handover for their new owners. One such special event happened on 31 October 2019 in Hong Kong when Simpson Marine arranged a handover ceremony for a Taiwan-based owner to mark the arrival of his new Beneteau Oceanis 51.1. Over twenty guests flew in from Taiwan and enjoyed a pirate-themed party which tied in with Halloween celebrations. The event included Eastern and Western celebrations with traditional Bai Sheng and a Champagne toast held at the Aberdeen Boat Club (ABC).

The following day, guests took the new Beneteau Oceanis 51.1 and another Simpson Marine Stock Oceanis 51.1 sailing around Po Toi Island. Here a sumptuous seafood lunch was served with delicacies such as lobster, abalone and scallops on the menu.  After lunch some guests went hiking while others enjoyed the beach or relaxed on board. On the way back the yachts raced back to ABC, with the winning team presented with a special certificate. Congratulation to the owners – we wish them safe passages and smooth sailing!
