New First Yacht 53 Delivers to Owner, while the Second Sells into Taiwan

Our Taiwan team was delighted to host our own Simpson Marine boat show and First Yacht 53 handover event in Keelung on 17-19 September. Four beautiful yachts were on display including the star of the show, the First Yacht 53, plus a Oceanis 51.1, Figaro 3 and a Barracuda 8.

We were able to host a limited number of guests at this special private event, which featured the official First Yacht 53 launch and owner handover followed by sea trials and client visits. On Friday, the second day of the event, we enjoyed a friendly barbecue party in the company of our guests and sailors. The atmosphere was very good and cheerful, with people enjoying being outdoors and sailing again.

On the final day of the event, we held our own Simpson Marine race, featuring owners racing on their yachts including a Beneteau Oceanis 37, 41.1, 51.1, First 45, First Yacht 53 and Figaro 3. The owners greatly enjoyed the thrills of racing and sharing their sailing stories together.

This event had a great ambiance that was made even more successful thanks to the recent order for a second First Yacht 53 into Taiwan. This latest sale shows quite clearly Simpson Marine’s strength in the sailing yacht sector in Taiwan, where we are the most active dealership with extensive experience and expertise in sailing and racing.
