Simpson Marine Taiwan Team Hosts South Penghu Island Race

Always very active on the local sailing scene, our Taiwan team has recently held their annual South Penghu Island Race running from 13-15 August around Wanan Island in the Penghu Islands. A total of six yachts attended the event including five Beneteau boats and one Lagoon catamaran. The race was won by an experienced racing team on an Oceanis 60, who are frequent winners, with an Oceanis 45 coming second. After the race, boats rafted up and owners enjoyed friendly socialising over live music and local delicacies. As an addition a SUP race was also arranged, which added a fun element to the whole event.
