Tioman Rendezvous brings Singapore sailors together

A popular event on our calendar, the annual Tioman Rendezvous was held from 8 to 11 June as we cruised up the coast with a total of 7 yachts and over 30 guests. The convoy was comprised of a Monte Carlo Yachts 86, Beneteau Oceanis 37, Beneteau Sense 55, Lagoon 450, Azimut 58, Azimut 40 and our Monte Carlo 6—it was a spectacular sight to see them cruising together.

Sailing yachts departed for Sibu Island a day earlier, and the motor yachts departed on Thursday to meet the convoy. The sunset arrival at Sibu Island was perfect as all yachts enjoyed a sumptuous BBQ dinner prepared by the Rimba Resort. A barracuda was caught by one of the yachts and the large fish became a wonder addition to the dinner!

A good evening well spent at Sibu, the convoy departed the next day for the relaxed cruise to Tioman Island with arrival in the evening and a night spent enjoying seafood by the beach.

Next day on Sunday featured a short cruise to nearby Pulau Tulai for island hopping and snorkeling. It was an enjoyable afternoon as Peter swam and saw a sea turtle! In addition, we also saw a black reef shark whilst snorkeling at Tioman. A memorable trip and fun as always, we thank our guests that joined us for this trip and already can’t wait for the next one!
