Beneteau First 36, Oceanis Yacht 60, and Lagoon 51 nominated for European Yacht of the Year 2023 and Multihull of the Year Awards!

The yacht award season coincided with the launch of the autumn boat shows held in Europe, including the Cannes, Southampton, Genoa and La Rochelle boat shows.

We are delighted to have seen the recognition of some of the most popular new models from the world leading yacht brands Beneteau and Lagoon that we have had the pleasure to exclusively represent in Asia for the past 36 years.

Nominated for Multihull of the Year, the Lagoon 51, newly launched this year, has been turning heads and receiving fantastic reviews at this year’s boat shows. It has also been nominated for European Yacht of the Year 2023.

With several units already sold into Asia, the Lagoon 51 is an impressive sailing catamaran that ticks all the boxes for easy handling, high performance under sail and extraordinary comfort levels on board. It has a flybridge that was optimised to cover 80% of its roof and is equipped with modular seating so you can accommodate as many guests as you like, allowing you to welcome them to the helm and relax alongside the captain.

The Lagoon 51 reveals an optimised circulation on board and a great fluidity. This new model also offers notable sustainable solutions including options of XXL solar panels on the roof without changing her look. This technology provides more than 3,400 watts of power to operate the on-board services. This is just one of many steps towards sustainability that the brand offers on this new model, aside of the entire production process being optimised to reduce energy and water consumption and reduce waste.

The Beneteau Oceanis Yacht 60 has been nominated for the Cruising Yacht of the Year award, and the Beneteau First 36 has been listed in the Performance Yacht of the Year category. Both yachts have also been shortlisted in the European Yacht of the Year 2023 awards.

Launched in 2022, the new Beneteau First 36 builds upon the Beneteau First heritage to achieve the perfect balance between comfort and performance, elegance and utility, as well as high-tech construction and reasonable cost. This nifty performance cruiser is designed by sailors, for sailors, and has no features without purpose, so we expect it will be a firm favourite amongst the judges.

The Beneteau Oceanis Yacht 60 has been nominated in the ‘Luxury Cruiser’ category. The Oceanis Yacht 60 boasts an elegant and sophisticated silhouette while preserving excellent sailing performance. The exterior styling is very similar to the Oceanis Yacht 54, including the standard mainsheet arch, low freeboard, low profile coach roof and a hint of reverse sheer.

The interiors impress with beautiful and bright spaces that invite guests to spend time below deck and relax in a soothing ambience after a day in the sun. The saloon is full width, with lots of overhead hatches for natural light and ventilation. A big L-shaped navigation centre, with a leather designer swivelling chair, is designed to keep in mind those who work from home while on board. This will be Beneteau’s first model with a full width forward galley. It offers plenty of space and was designed to maximise both stowage volumes and worktop space.

The final winners will be announced at the Düsseldorf Boat Show 2023 and we have no doubts that our nominees will, once again, score their champion titles.
