Sanlorenzo SX76 Exclusive Preview Takes Place in Hong Kong

Simpson Marine’s Hong Kong team held an exclusive, private preview of the new Sanlorenzo SX76 at the Aberdeen Boat Club Main Clubhouse on 23 September. This gave guests the opportunity to discover this exciting “crossover” model from the Sanlorenzo SX range, now comprising of the SX76, SX88 models with a brand new 2020 premiere of the SX112.

With this audacious 76ft yacht Sanlorenzo has brought new blood to the sub 24-metre segment. This model has fully inherited the best elements of the award winning SX88. At the helm of the exterior design, which has an indisputable power of attraction and even, for some, of seduction: Zuccon International Project and Luca Santella.

Like her big sister, the SX76 can be seen from afar thanks to a distinct look that is often characterised as Expedition, or a “crossover”. Her innovative stern, a real 18 sqm terrace overlooking the sea that will please aficionados of swimming and sunbathing, houses a four-metre tender and a jet ski when underway. On the other end, the foredeck is also dedicated to farniente [Italian for ‘doing nothing’] and offers an outdoor lounge and sunbed.

Guests were treated to canapes and champagne while enjoying their stay on board in assistance of our dedicated Sanlorenzo Asia team.

An important element adding to the singularity of the yacht was an art exhibition featuring Paintings and Sculptures of Lai Chi Man, represented by the partner gallery Amanda Wei Gallery. International sculptor Lai Chi Man was born in Hong Kong in 1949 and established himself in Taiwan. As one of the very rare sculptors still working on stones in the Chinese art world, Lai Chi Man believes in nature and chooses natural materials to create artworks accordingly.  Lai Chi Man’s abundant overseas life guided him to oriental culture to look for identity. He uses the principles of Chinese lexicography, such as pictograph and compound ideograph of the six categories of life, views of nature and their relationship in society nowadays. The artist is also deeply influenced by the unique delicateness and beauty of Buddhist sculpture art and transforms it into universal values that transcend culture by creating a series of artworks such as “Between” and “Scenery”, which are displayed on board the SX76.
