First in Asia: Beneteau Oceanis 30.1 Handed Over In China

The very first Oceanis 30.1 in Asia arrived in Shenzhen, China in early October 2019, with the official handover celebrated at the China Cup International Regatta’s Race Village in Dapeng Ocean Sports Centre. The event was held on 8 November in the presence of the vessel’s new owner and the teams from Beneteau Asia and Simpson Marine. Commissioned by The Wharton Education Group, who develop sailing courses for teenagers, the yacht will be used as a training vessel for young sailors. After a short handover and champagne breaking ceremony, the guests left for a first sea trial in Daya Bay. The Oceanis 30.1 is the latest in a line of new generation Beneteau Sailing yachts, with the bigger models OC51.1 and OC46.1 already cruising in Asia.
