Sanlorenzo Private Preview Takes Place in Singapore

The Simpson Marine Singapore team recently hosted a private viewing on three stunning Sanlorenzo yachts in Singapore: SL102Asymmetric, SD126 and SX88 – each representing a different range offered by the shipyard.

The SL range is known for its streamlined, elegant and well-balanced outlook. The range includes six models (SL78, SL86, SL96A, SL102A, SL120A) with lengths ranging from 24 to 37 metres. Every yacht, even the smallest, offers various interior layout possibilities and can be completely personalised in keeping with the tastes and passions of its owner.

The Sanlorenzo SL102Asymmetric at the private viewing was Asia’s first Asymmetric yacht that arrived Singapore last year and since then has proved extremely popular among Asian buyers with several units sold this year into Asia. Introduced in 2018 at the Cannes Yachting Festival as one of the main premiering stars of the show, the Sanlorenzo SL102 Asymmetric is an innovative out-of-the-box design that perfectly represents Sanlorenzo’s impressive design capabilities, which maximise yacht spaces by expanding and rethinking traditional layouts. The goal of the SL102 Asymmetric was to provide guests with more usable living areas on the main deck while simultaneously guaranteeing easy access for the crew between the stern and the bow when docking and manoeuvring.

The yachts of the SD fleet – the semi-displacement models from Sanlorenzo – draw inspiration from the lines of the Transatlantic liners of the 1930s. The series offers models in composite from 28 to 38 metres in length, delivering outstanding ranges to reach even the most faraway destinations.

Having arrived Singapore in late 2018, the Sanlorenzo SD126 was a show-stealer at the Singapore Yacht Show 2019. This particular SD126 is an excellent example of the Sanlorenzo semi-displacement SD range, with elegant and classic lines and large entertaining areas throughout her three social decks: the main deck, upper deck and flybridge. The owner of SD126 has opted for a modern and minimalist style with elegant light grey and cream tones and the yacht was designed in close collaboration between her owners and Sanlorenzo’s interior design team. Another piece of floating art uniquely customised to the taste of the owner.

The third vessel on display was the new concept yacht SX88. Observing the superstructure that reaches forward, and the beach area with the proportions of a large terrace, it becomes immediately clear that the SX line is a revolutionary project. Functions and uses of spaces intertwine, giving rise to a “crossover” yacht that is perfect for a sophisticated contemporary owner. The SX88 is a great representation of the innovative Sanlorenzo “crossover” SX range.

Presented to the world as a breakthrough concept at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2017, the Sanlorenzo SX88 is a 27 metre motoryacht designed with a younger generation in mind, and offering a huge amount of space for its size. Sanlorenzo describes the SX as a “social” yacht which offers a new way to live life on board through an active contact with the surrounding sea. The revolutionary SX88 offers wide open spaces and large glass windows, assuring an effective and optimised relationship between interior and exterior, required by the most experienced owners.

Having forever changed the design perception in the yachting industry, the SX88 has sold an incredible 30+ units to date. Building on the success of the SX88, the range has been extended with the SX76 – with three units currently in Hong Kong – and the SX112 launched in Autumn 2020.

Besides the three ranges on display, Singapore is expecting new models including the Sanlorenzo SD96 and the superyacht 44Alloy to arrive in 2021. The exponential growth of the Sanlorenzo fleet in Asia in such a short span of time has certainly proven the brand’s stellar success in the region.
