Sanlorenzo unveils SL102 Asymmetric and new SX76 in Cannes to great acclaim

Europe’s leading in-water yachting event, Cannes Yachting Festival 2018, saw the world premiere of the Sanlorenzo SL102 Asymmetric and the new Sanlorenzo SX76. As the first asymmetric motoryacht in the world, the Sanlorenzo Asymmetric SL102 is a triumph for Sanlorenzo as she strengthens their reputation for always pursuing innovation.

Designed to ensure greater usability of the interior spaces and better circulation between the stern and bow area for docking and all manoeuvres, the SL102 is the world’s first assymetric yacht and has a unique layout with a deck only on the starboard side. The clever asymmetrical configuration allows a large amount of extra space, creating a huge and spacious interior.

The SL102’s design characterises the iconic Sanlorenzo look, yet her asymmetry affords room for a larger saloon and cockpit with full-height windows that overlook the sea on one side, while on the starboard side the hull opens as a balcony. This creative layout allows for more space, comfort and flexibility of use.

The second world premiere was the new SX76, follow up to last year’s hugely successful SX88 model. Adopting a completely innovative approach to on-board space, the SX76 is the perfect blend between a classic flybridge motor yacht and an expedition vessel. The best of both worlds.

Large open spaces and windows ensure that all interior spaces are optimised, with interior and exterior spaces as one thanks to the flush floor and fully sliding cockpit doors. The wheelhouse, located on the flybridge, has a windshield that can be enclosed sideways by glass windows, while the whole stern area of the bridge can be enclosed by a series of strataglass panels. By relocating the helm station to the flybridge, the saloon space is now particularly large and allows the main deck to become a single open environment housing a continuous open plan living area. With plenty of areas to relax, ‘Life at Sea’ is the key phrase for this innovation-packed vessel.

The good news is that both yachts are heading to Asia soon and it has been confirmed that the Sanlorenzo SL102 will make her Asia debut at the Singapore Yacht Show 2019 while the SX76 will be available for viewings in Hong Kong in early 2019 and participating in the Marina Cove Boat Show in March 2019.
