Two Sanlorenzo SD96s on the way to Hong Kong and Phuket

Following the success of the Sanlorenzo SL line, with several yachts delivered and expected to arrive shortly in Asia, a double delivery of the new semi-displacement model SD96 will soon arrive in Asia – one in Hong Kong and another one in Phuket.

The SD96 was introduced by Sanlorenzo, in collaboration with the internationally acclaimed Spanish architect Patricia Urquiola for the interiors and Zuccon International Studio for the exterior. This new addition to the popular long range SD line puts its full focus on vast living areas and seamless interconnected areas on its three spacious decks.

The Sanlorenzo SD96 introduces the concept of transforming spaces to enrich the experience of those who inhabit the boat. Defined by flexibility and modularity, the SD96 features a flowing space in which the distinctive style of her famous designer unfolds, combining a minimalist approach with a blend of carefully selected materials and elegant, relaxing colours including greys, beiges, blues and other subtle pastels.

“Our starting point for this collaboration with Sanlorenzo was doubtlessly the sea, a great source of inspiration for the whole development of the concept and therefore the interior of the yacht,” said Urquiola. “The materials, shapes and colours evoke the marine world, creating a flowing and elegant space full of natural colours.”

The Hong Kong sold SD96 will bear Urquiola’s signature interior design while the Phuket unit will feature a bespoke interior by Sanlorenzo’s design team.

With the more powerful option of twin 1,380hp MTU engines, the SD96 has a top speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots, while navigating at 10 knots maximises fuel economy and allows for an impressive range of 1,800nm. This makes this voluminous privacy-oriented  yacht the perfect base for exploring Asia in the most comfortable of ways.
