Thailand Yacht Show sees strong catamaran line up with Lagoon and Aquila models and a notable Fairline Squadron 50 premiere

We are delighted to announce the successful conclusion of the Thailand Yacht Show 2020. The first event of the year ran from the 9 to 12 January at the Royal Phuket Marina and Simpson Marine was, once again, the largest exhibitor at the show. This year, we were privileged to present two Asia Premieres – the Fairline Squadron 50 and Lagoon 46 Catamaran – at the show. The show also saw the largest catamaran, a Lagoon 630 motor yacht, being displayed and offered for sale on the Brokerage Market.

With both mono and multihulls from 9 to 27 metres on display at the show, the Simpson Marine stand was kept busy throughout the four-day event. Our strong fleet included a stock Lagoon 42, taking the tally of Lagoon Catamarans at the show to three, plus an Aquila 44 and a Flyer 8.8.

A great way to kick off the year on a strong note, the show concluded with several sales and offers and as a result you will soon be seeing more Lagoon and Aquila catamarans cruising through the region. Watch this space for more good news to come.

In addition to the yachts on display, Sanlorenzo Asia, represented by Simpson Marine, hosted a dedicated VIP lounge area for guests looking for bespoke yachts and superyachts. The growing dominance of the Sanlorenzo brand in Asia has meant increased excitement whenever new Sanlorenzo yachts arrive into Thailand and recent arrivals have included the SL78 and SX88. Following the announcement of Simpson Marine’s appointment as the official Bluegame distributor in Asia, many guests were also keen to discuss their own mini SX superyacht with our Sanlorenzo Asia Sales Manager, Nick Stratton.

The Simpson Yacht Charter team also had a busy show,  securing many charter bookings and undertaking on-going discussions with charter clients. Charter-friendly vessels on display at the show included the Flyer 8.8, which is perfect for day charters, and a Lagoon 42, which is very popular for family overnight use. These are just two representative models of our impressive fleet of luxury catamarans, motoryachts and superyachts that are available for charter throughout Asia.

Other services presented included our Yacht Care division, which currently has 18 yachts in the Yacht Care programme in Phuket alone, yacht management and Langkawi registry services – ensuring that yacht owners can take full advantage of Simpson Marine’s full service offering. Our popular Yacht Care programme is a tailored service that keeps yachts in tip-top condition for owners.

Building on the positive energy seen at the Thailand Yacht Show, the next big event in Simpson Marine’s calendar is the Singapore Yacht Show 2020. Held in Singapore from 19 to 22 March, Simpson Marine will have 12 or more yachts on display including many notable premieres and new models. With an impressive portfolio of brands represented in Asia, including Sanlorenzo, Bluegame, Fairline, Beneteau, Lagoon, CNB and Aquila, Simpson Marine is entering the new decade strongly and is proud to maintain the status of Asia’s leading yacht dealer since 1984.
