Beneteau Premieres New Grand Trawler 62, Gran Turismo 45 and Antares 8 in Cannes

Beneteau participated in the Cannes Yachting Festival 2021 with great success, showcasing its usual impressive fleet of sail and power fleets. A particular highlight was the premiere of the Grand Trawler 62 and Gran Turismo 45 at the show.

The new flagship model of the Beneteau Trawler range, the Grand Trawler 62, is the result of Beneteau’s collaboration with Massimo Gino (Nauta Design) and Amedeo Migali (Micad). The yacht capitalises on Beneteau’s highly successful Swift Trawler range of practical, spacious boats with a considerable cruising range, and is a tangible demonstration of Groupe Beneteau’s experience in producing luxury boats.

The yacht features a distinctive displacement hull and has an impressive range of 900 nautical miles while cruising at the economical speed of 9 knots, and is capable of reaching top speeds of 20+ knots. At 18.95 metres (62’) long with a hull beam of 5.4 metres (17’7”), she is designed to welcome six to eight people on board (plus crew), with a choice of 3- or 4-cabin layout. Her impressive interior volume comprises a 31 sqm saloon and a 14 sqm owner’s suite with the biggest flybridge in class measuring 34 sqm.

Her appealing features include the new mobile app SEANAPPS and its onboard smart box which allows owners to track their boat’s condition, plan maintenance operations and access the integrated maintenance logbook 24/7.

Strikingly spacious with volumes comparable to much larger yachts, the Beneteau Grand Trawler 62 features interiors by Nauta Design that are all finished with wood, leather and elegant textiles. Interior features include a large enclosed galley, cabins with a considerable amount of headroom, and an aft lazarette with dual use of head and shower. An inviting terrace on the sea harmoniously merges functionality, practicality, and luxury.

The Gran Turismo 45 fosters conviviality and the enjoyment of a great indoor-outdoor experience. Her design features large windows, a vast sundeck and a U-shaped cockpit all smartly packed in a 14.78-metre yacht. Her sleek and sporty hull boasts elegant details such as the metallic grey “fashion plates” fixed to the sides of the hard-top and on the engine air intakes. The hard-top and the large hull windows, which are a feature of the new generation of Express Cruiser, give the boat a sleek, modern look and infuse the interior with soft, natural daylight.

The brand new Beneteau Antares 8 also recently officially premiered to the world at the Southampton Boat Show.
