China Cup International Regatta Welcomes Many Beneteau Yachts and Showcases the Beneteau First Range

The China Cup International Regatta (CCIR) held its 13th edition in Shenzhen’s Daya Bay between 6-10 November 2019, with almost a hundred boats in attendance – including 35 Beneteau yachts. A incredible total of 1000 sailors participated in the racing, having come from all around the world. As always, the regatta was very well run, with great spirit shown amongst the competitors.

Together with Beneteau APAC, Simpson Marine has been supporting the CCIR since its very first edition, with the Simpson Marine Long Distance Race holding a regular position at the regatta. We congratulate the winners in all four categories:

• IRC B – Zhen Ao Sailing Team A
• IRC A – Shanghai NOAHS Sailing Team
• Beneteau First 40.7 – CHECHE Team
• Punch Line Award – Jelik Team

On 8 November we also organised our annual owners event ‘Beneteau Night’. The event was a huge success, attracting over 130 sailors in what was widely described as a great get together of truly international teams. Another highlight of the CCIR was the display of the First 14 and First 24 in the race village right next to the Beneteau stand. These Beneteau models were on display for the first time in China, and attracted many first time sailors as they are a great entry boat with extremely easy handling.
