Sign up for the 35th Beneteau Four Peaks Race – Dates confirmed for 26-27 January 2019

It is this time of the year when the Aberdeen Boat Club confirms the date of their signature race, the Beneteau Four Peaks Race. The 35^th edition is set for 26-27 January 2019 so start planning on time to gather your sailing and running crew and plan all the tactics necessary to complete the race within the allotted maximum time of 24 hours.

The Beneteau Four Peaks Race is an annual overnight multisport race has been organized by the Aberdeen Boat Club since 1985 and is about peak performance. With the average boat taking 24 hours to complete last year, the race requires landings by transfer craft or swimming, speed and strategy on land over rough terrain, and fine seamanship and sailing skills on the water. Tactics, practice and stamina play a big part, and competitors come back again and again to enjoy both the excitement and the camaraderie. This unique sporting challenge is considered one of the most testing competitions in the region. It requires the highest levels of fitness and seamanship from the competitors and the best of race stewarding and safety management from the organizers.

Simpson Marine and Beneteau were proud supporters of the race during the past two editions and will return again for 2019 as title sponsor of the race with our own Beneteau Simpson Marine team racing on a Beneteau sail boat.

On 26 September ABC will organise Introductory Evening and Reception over drinks for all the usual racers and newcomers so if you are interested in taking part please do come around and join the race in 2019 to make it even more fun and competitive.
