First Beneteau Figaro 3 Sold in Asia, On The Way To Hong Kong

Following the news of the sale of the Oceanis 51.1 into Taiwan, more great news comes from the Taiwan team with another new boat – a Beneteau Figaro 3 – sold into Taiwan. This design is a grand innovation by Beneteau and is the only production made foiling sailing monohull in the world.  Combining technology and innovation this exciting design is the result of a collaboration between the expert team at Beneteau and the Van Peteghem Lauriot-Prévost (VPLP) office, the naval architects of the two last boats to win the Vendée Globe.The prototype of the Beneteau Figaro 3 has been tested and the production of the boat already begun. Once launched it will enter the ISO/World Sailing design category A.

The new yacht is expected to reach Hong Kong end of August so expect some buzz around the city when she arrives! She will stay here for a couple of weeks before leaving for her final destination, Taiwan, where she will join an entire fleet of Beneteau sail boats based there, introduced to the market by Tony Chen, our Taiwan Country Manager and a big fan of sailing and racing.
