Sunset Series 2021 Conclude Successfully with Simpson Marine’s Ongoing Support

For the third consecutive year we are proud to have supported the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club’s much loved summer regatta, the Sunset Series. Held over 12 consecutive Fridays from 4 June to 20 August the racing is lucky to have the stunning Victoria Harbour and some dramatic sunsets as its iconic background. An average of 65 yachts from all classes and seven One Design classes (Dragon, Etchells, Flying Fifteen, Impala, J/80, Pandora, Ruffian) were cruising in this year’s edition with a peak of 69 boats racing on the third Friday, 18 June. The teams have a set number of 10 courses they can race on – the most popular in 2021 were course 1 and course 2, both at a distance of 3.48 nm. Members of the Simpson Marine team were racing in the regatta and also available to meet sailors and friends on the Club’s 2F lawn – the Sunset Series was the perfect opportunity to enjoy this casual setting and discuss our passion for sailing together.
