Luxury British motor yacht manufacturer, Fairline Yachts has unveiled imagery and the specification of its stunning Targa 43 OPEN following the announcement of the all-new model earlier this year. The beautiful Targa 43 OPEN is set to soon launch at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2018. In addition to this premiere, Fairline will present four other yachts in Cannes: Targa 48 Open, Targa 53 Open, Squadron 53 and Targa 63 GTO.
Due to launch in September 2018, the Targa 43 OPEN express cruiser is set to become the spiritual successor to the original, and phenomenally popular, Targa 43 with almost 300 produced by Fairline between 1997-2005 – a model which remains highly sought after in the brokerage market. We are already anticipating high levels of interest from our customers in Hong Kong and the Philippines, with Simpson Marine recently appointed the exclusive Fairline distributor for these two countries.
This sleek and stylish cruiser is emphasised by an eye-catching, tapered hull window that accentuates the dynamic character of this sporty Targa model. Taking inspiration from Alberto Mancini’s design of the recently launched Targa 63 GTO, the Targa 43 OPEN features the leading edge styling that is synonymous with Mancini and this new age of Fairline Yachts.
Head of Design at Fairline Yachts, Andrew Pope, says, “The Targa 43 was a sensationally popular model for Fairline and we are confident that the new Targa 43 OPEN will be a more-than worthy successor. It really maximises its day boat credentials, offering garage space to accommodate a Williams 280 MiniJet, a high-low platform with 300kg lifting capacity – ideal for a Sea-Doo Spark – and an expansive, social cockpit space with outdoor bar and twin pilot seats at the helm. As with all our boats, we have tried hard to retain a true connection with the water.”
“Although this model is smaller than our current Targa 48, she does not lack in either space or headroom – Mancini has drawn inspiration from the Targa 63 GTO interior, ensuring a light and spacious feel that works seamlessly between spaces. With the option of having the owner’s cabin forward or mid ship, the Targa 43 OPEN stays true to our desire to create a boat based on the owners’ requirements, suited to them and how they go boating.”
The new Targa 43 OPEN’s cockpit boasts a large sun bed over the tender garage, expansive cockpit seating and comfortable companion seating opposite the helm – the perfect arrangement for maximising enjoyment on board. With twin Volvo Penta IPS600’s a 34 knot maximum speed is expected. There is also the ability to add a Seakeeper NG3 gyroscopic stabiliser, ensuring the highest level of comfort on board.
The Simpson Marine team will be visiting the show inspecting new yachts so please let us know at [email protected] if you would like to make an appointment to visit the Fairline range, including the Targa 43 OPEN, and conduct sea trials. See you at Cannes!
