Lagoon to unveil Seventy 8, Lagoon 50 and Lagoon 40 at Cannes Yachting Festival 2017

As usual, the world nr 1 in catamarans keeps us entertained every new yachting season with new models and innovations regularly showcased as Premieres in Cannes, and then at all the following Autumn boat shows.

This year in Cannes expect the World unveil of the new motoryacht flagship, the Seventy 8, a new power catamaran with superyacht DNA, as stated by Lagoon designers themselves.

From the very beginning, the objective of the VPLP design and Nauta Yachts architects in conceiving the SEVENTY 8 was to equip the boat with a large yacht’s DNA. The challenge was met as the SEVENTY 8 will be the first to come out of the workshop at the end of May for sea tests before Cannes Boat Show.

The SEVENTY 8 marks the entry into a new motor yacht world where comfort, luxury, refinement and autonomy are the defining words. Her asserted and dynamic silhouette, enhanced by a beveled stem, and the soft forms of her roof give way to large interior spaces whose finishes reveal a timeless elegance.

The development of this new motor yacht underlines Lagoon‘s drive to innovate in terms of manufacturing and design. Indeed, her modular construction and an unrivaled command of manufacturing quality attest to a unique “Made in Bordeaux” expertise confirming Lagoon’s elite reputation. This outstanding boat required the creation of a new workshop tailored to her size, allowing for full control of the construction process from A to Z.

After the unprecedented success of the Seventy 7 presented in Cannes last year, and sold in 15 units in a mere 8 months, we can only advise you to book your slot soon if you want to avoid a few years’ queue.

On the sailing side, two new models, the Lagoon 40 and 50 will be premiered at the show.

The new 40 and 50 are exciting additions to the Lagoon range.  Lagoon take the next generation models to the next level, as always listening to their passionate owners around the world and acting on feedback to bring world-leading design thinking to yachting reality.  Master designers VPLP continue the chase after higher performance in cruising catamarans.  A new taller mast, and a wing-shaped square top sail, make for a highly efficient sail plan.  There is no doubt these new models are set to deliver similar, impressive speed results to the ground breaking Lagoon 42″.
