Multi-award winning Figaro Beneteau 3 arrives in Hong Kong

Much-anticipated in Asia, the new Figaro Beneteau 3, designed by VPLP naval architects, arrived in Hong Kong a few days ago. The yacht is now undergoing commissioning works and final system fittings and will be available for sea trials with the local racing community and prospective buyers in early November. The Figaro Beneteau 3 has already been the recipient of a number of awards in America, confirming the international success of this exciting foiling monohull design. The model recently won best sailboat in the ‘under 35 feet’ category at the NFNP (NEWPORT for NEW Products) as well as being named best sailboat the Newport Boat Show, held from 12 to 15 September in Rhode Island, USA.

Journalists made the most of the yacht’s presence at the Newport Boat Show, with media sea trials organised off Newport, giving press a chance to try out the Figaro Beneteau 3 as well as the First 14, 18  & 24  and the Oceanis 46.1 models. As a result of these sea trials Sailing World magazine awarded the Figaro Beneteau 3 the prestigious title of “Boat of the Year”.
