Optimist World Championship Thailand to run in Pattaya

For the first time since 1979, Thailand is host for the The Optimist World Championship 2017. This is only the fifth time in history that an Asian country is hosting this event and it is already setting records with regards to not only the highest number of countries entering, 62 countries confirmed, but as well the most sailors. Having this regatta in Thailand means a great boost for the popularity of sailing and it will show people worldwide the magnificent conditions we have in the Gulf of Thailand.

The regatta is approaching rapidly, 11-21 July at the Royal Varuna Yacht Club, from where all the action will take place.
