Sanlorenzo made a remarkable debut at the Venice Art Biennale with the unveiling of Casa Sanlorenzo, a groundbreaking project in collaboration with artist Michelangelo Pistoletto. Hosted within the prestigious event, the project symbolises Sanlorenzo’s dedication to innovation and sustainability, echoing the core values of the esteemed nautical maison.
The focal point of the unveiling was the presentation of “Third Paradise Quick Response”, a reinterpretation of Pistoletto’s renowned work “Third Paradise.” Crafted in Sanlorenzo’s shipyard, this monumental installation features three interlinked circles, representing the synthesis of a dynamic balance between conflicting elements. As humanity navigates the epochal challenges of the contemporary world, “Third Paradise Quick Response” powerfully symbolises unity and promotes a harmonious connection between nature and artifice.
Massimo Perotti, CEO of Sanlorenzo, comments on the collaboration: “We have always believed in the intrinsic connection between the worlds of art and yachting, and this project represents our commitment to uniting creativity and craftsmanship in our yachts, transforming the sea into a canvas for painting extraordinary experiences.”
The unveiling of “Third Paradise Quick Response” also marks the prelude to the launch of Sanlorenzo Arts Venice, a future cultural and artistic hub destined to become a reference point in the cultural landscape of Venice. Scheduled to open its doors in 2025, Sanlorenzo Arts Venice will offer a space where creativity merges with innovation, hosting art, design, and architecture exhibitions that celebrate the essence of Sanlorenzo.
Piero Lissoni, architect and Art Director at Sanlorenzo, is overseeing the restoration of the building that will house Sanlorenzo Arts Venice. “The building is intended to narrate the values and energy that characterise the essence of Sanlorenzo, where art, nature, and technology converge to create unique vessels,” Lissoni explains.
Michelangelo Pistoletto, the visionary artist behind “Third Paradise Quick Response,” describes the project as “the passage to a new level of planetary civilisation, essential for the survival of humanity and the planet.” Through this collaboration, Pistoletto aims to promote dialogue and reflection on the need to protect our planet and care for society.
Sanlorenzo Arts Venice is a testament to the company’s commitment to promoting new creative languages and contributing to the production of quality culture and design. As “Third Paradise Quick Response” becomes an active symbol worldwide, Sanlorenzo continues to lead the way in innovation and sustainability within the maritime industry.
