Sanlorenzo presented its latest flagship, the SD132, at the Yacht Club De Monaco in early April. This event marked a significant milestone for the company, showcasing the largest composite-built yacht ever crafted by Sanlorenzo and the largest in its semi-displacement line.
The SD132, measuring 40.7 metres in length, continues the legacy of the previous models in the SD line while introducing new features that set it apart. With a gross tonnage of 420 GT, the SD132 offers unmatched volume for a yacht of its size. This is achieved through the application of the asymmetric concept, a distinctive feature pioneered by Sanlorenzo.
Tommaso Vincenzi, President of Sanlorenzo’s Yacht Business Unit, expressed his excitement about the launch: “We are thrilled with the SD132 project, which embodies the perfect combination of size, innovative design, and timeless elegance. The market response has been confirmed by the five contracts signed before the launch.”
One of the standout features of the SD132 is its configuration of the expansive beach area, which is seamlessly connected to the aft cockpit. The lateral terraces, once rotated and opened, offer guests large walkable surfaces of 70 square metres, transforming the cockpit into an open terrace that allows guests to experience the sea first-hand.
Additionally, the yacht boasts a vast 85-square-metre space on the fly deck, a crystal-clear mini pool equipped with a sunbathing system, and a side garage with transverse launching capability for a tender up to 6.25 metres long.
The exterior design, created by Zuccon International Project, is characterised by a sense of balance and visual harmony. The asymmetric design optimises onboard spaces, effortlessly connecting the decks and facilitating vertical circulation. The yacht features four guest cabins on the lower deck, a spacious owner’s suite on the main deck, and large salons with expansive windows on both the main and upper decks.
The SD132 is designed to ensure extended range capabilities for reaching even the most remote destinations. Its range of 3,200 miles makes it well-suited for transoceanic navigation.
