Sanlorenzo Receives RINA Certification for Digital Yachting Excellence

Sanlorenzo is proud to announce it has received the world’s first “Digital Yachting” certification from RINA. This milestone, awarded to the sixth unit of the SP110 line, marks a significant step in the company’s commitment to innovation and digital transformation within the yachting industry.

In collaboration with D.gree, a SailADV brand, and under RINA’s supervision, Sanlorenzo has enhanced the performance, safety, and user experience of its yachts by integrating advanced digital technologies. The company has developed intuitive monitoring and management solutions designed for owners, managers, technicians, captains, and crew members.

One key feature is the H-Log monitoring system, which collects more than 800 parameters, including onboard data, functional status, and alarms, all aimed at optimising safety, efficiency, comfort, and overall performance. Supported by the H-System platform, this data can be accessed both locally and remotely on various devices, allowing full supervision of the yacht’s status. With real-time visualisation and remote monitoring capabilities, yacht operators can make quick decisions and analyse scenarios based on actual data, reducing the chances of unexpected events and maximising performance and safety.

“We are extremely proud to receive the RINA Digital Yachting certification for the H-Log system installed on our yachts,” said Tommaso Vincenzi, President of Sanlorenzo’s Yacht Business Unit. “This recognises the high level of digitalisation we have achieved through continuous innovation and reflects our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in yachting for our customers.”

RINA’s Digital Yacht Class Notation certifies onboard systems that enable monitoring and control of both essential and non-essential systems, facilitating remote analysis through data management. The certification involves strict design and testing protocols to ensure safety and reliability.

Key requirements for the certification include:
Computer-Based Systems (CBS): Simplified hardware and software specifications for yachts under 500 GT.
Data Shore Transfer (ADC): Secure data transfer between the yacht and shore.
Cyber Safety: Standards to protect onboard digital systems from cyber threats for yachts over 500 GT.

The SP110 certification underscores Sanlorenzo‘s forward-thinking approach and sets a new benchmark for digital yachting on a global scale.
