Sanlorenzo SD132 – An Insight into Sanlorenzo’s Flagship Yacht of the Semi-Displacement Series

Sanlorenzo has recently launched at its Viareggio shipyard the first unit of the SD132, the latest and largest model in its semi-displacement range. Measuring 40.7 metres in length, the SD132 not only introduces a bold new era for Sanlorenzo but also establishes itself as Sanlorenzo’s largest composite-built yacht. With five units already sold before the official debut, the SD132 is proving to be one of the most sought-after models in the brand’s history.

Every element of the SD132 has been created to optimise onboard liveability while ensuring a seamless connection with the surrounding seascape. With a gross tonnage of 420GT, this yacht stands out for its impressive interior volume, typically found on much larger vessels.

One of the yacht’s most striking design features is its expansive beach club area, which integrates seamlessly with the aft cockpit. When the lateral terraces unfold, guests are treated to a 70-square-metre waterside lounge, offering an uninterrupted view of the sea. The cockpit itself transforms into an open terrace, enhancing the yacht’s indoor-outdoor lifestyle.

Above, the 85-square-metre flybridge provides an exceptional space for social gatherings, complete with lounging areas and panoramic views. Meanwhile, the forward living area features a stunning mini pool with a sunbathing system, offering a tranquil retreat away from the main entertaining spaces.

As with many of Sanlorenzo’s latest models, the SD132 incorporates the brand’s innovative asymmetric design concept. The main deck features a single portside walkway, while the upper deck walkway is located to starboard. This unique configuration maximizes interior space, and enhances circulation between decks.

The SD132 accommodates four spacious guest staterooms on the lower deck, while the master suite spans an impressive 55 square metres on the main deck, offering a private sanctuary with a sophisticated design. Crew quarters have also been thoughtfully designed, featuring a dedicated crew dinette and laundry area to enhance service efficiency.

The SD132 is also highly functional. The yacht has a side garage capable of housing a 6.25-metre tender, while an additional forward hangar provides storage for water toys or a rescue boat.

The interiors, designed in collaboration with Zuccon International Project, have a palette of earthy tones and natural materials, creating a warm and sophisticated atmosphere. Carefully curated materials—such as stone-textured cement, dark and light woods, and soft textiles—add depth and authenticity to the yacht’s aesthetic.

Designed for long-range cruising, the SD132 is engineered for transoceanic navigation. With a range of 3,200 nautical miles, this superyacht allows owners to explore some of the world’s most remote destinations in absolute comfort.

With its combination of groundbreaking design, generous volumes, and remarkable innovation, the Sanlorenzo SD132 represents a new pinnacle in the semi-displacement yacht segment. By blending timeless elegance with modern sustainability, this yacht offers a truly unique experience on the water.
