On Wednesday 19 Jan, we have presented our brand new Sanlorenzo SX76 at an Open Day in Hong Kong, before the yacht departed to Sanya – her final destination. This particular Sanlorenzo SX76 will be the first Sanlorenzo yacht to enter Hainan under the newly launched Tax Free Port Policy. Simpson Marine has recently been registered as operating business in the Sanya Tax Free Port and is now able to deliver yachts to Hainan in this scheme, presenting a new opportunity for our Chinese buyers.
China’s central government released a master plan on June 1, 2020, setting out policies to support the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port (Hainan FTP). This has the aim of building Hainan island, on the southern coast of China, into a globally-significant free trade port by 2050. The government anticipates to make Hainan a centre for foreign finance as well as a destination for Chinese shoppers, spreading out functions that had been largely concentrated in Hong Kong. The policy stimulates Hainan into a new yachting destination and create a big draw for boat owners.
Designed by superyacht design experts Zuccon International Project, the Sanlorenzo SX76 is a unique crossover yacht between classic flybridge yachts and explorer yachts, all packaged into Sanlorenzo’s elegant and distinctive look. The SX76 has been designed as a social yacht that maximises all on-board spaces, providing a refreshingly spacious yacht for her length.
