Simpson Marine Taiwan flies high at 2020 Penghu Regatta

The eighth edition of Taiwan’s most important regatta, Penghu Regatta, was held from July 13-19 in the Penghu Islands, Taiwan’s western archipelago. There were 176 participants and 23 boats participating, including eight Beneteau yachts presented by Simpson Marine’ owners. These were the OC38, OC38.1, CYC43, OC45, OC51.1, OC60, F40 and the F45.

The race was divided into three sections: IRC and division A and B. The first day was the Round the Island race, which say First 40 (A Good Day) and Oceanis 51.1 (F ONE) place second and third in the IRC division. Oceanis 45 (TanTan) and Oceanis 38.1 (NPU MR1) were first and third in A division.

The Penghu Bay In-port race was on the second day. Conditions were perfect for racing; there was a good breeze and sunshine. Oceanis 51.1(F ONE) came third in the IRC division, while Oceanis 45 (TanTan) and Oceanis 38.1 (NPU MR1) got the first and second in A division.

Oceanis 45 won the prize for overall champion.
