Sailing is now officially back in action in Taiwan and our team is pleased to once again be sailing and racing along the shores of the country. On 2 May we held the 5th race of the Pescadores Race, which is held in the Penghu Islands and is composed of a total of 12 races.
The Pescadores Race was initiated by Simpson Marine, together with our yacht owners, a few years ago. This year a total of eight yachts joined the race for a series of two round-the-island races and one shore race. The participating owners were able to enjoy spectacular views of the Penghu Islands with their good winds and warm waters.
This 5th race was marked by a strong Beneteau presence, including a First 40, First 45, Oceanis 38, Oceanis 38.1, Oceanis 45, Oceanis 60, and Figaro 3, with the winner in the Beneteau Class being the experienced Oceanis 60. Well done to all the teams and particularly the Oceanis 60 crew. The next race will be held in Keelung in June, so stay tuned for details.
