Tony’s life has always been closely associated with the sea. His grandfather in-law was a well-known helmsman in Penghu district in the early nineteenth century and his family business is related to the fishing industry. At age twelve, Tony designed and built himself a small sailing boat and grew up with his brothers in the Penghu islands. Tony sees himself as a “Son of the Ocean”.
An accomplished windsurfer and yachtsman, Tony plays a key role in supporting Penghu’s young sailors, and continues to promote windsurfing and sailing activities working closely with the local government. Tony has competed in the Inaugural Taiwan Strait Race and Penghu Regatta Week series events.
In 2014, thanks to his sailing experience, Tony was invited as a member of Team Beneteau to participate in the China Cup. He was the only non-European member of the team and proved that his sailing ability is a match for European professional standards. Tony has a passion for all nautical activities and regularly joins The China and Straits Cup, Penghu Regatta Week, and Churahana Cup Yacht Regatta.
In order to promote boating in Taiwan by encouraging sailing activities, Tony is also the Keelboat Chief Executive of Penghu County Sailing Association, Supervisor of Chinese Taipei Sailing Association as well as the Member of Sailing Committee and Officer Committee.
Tony practices what he preaches and is not only one of the most active yachtsmen in Taiwan today, but also a proud owner of his own Lagoon 380 OCEAN CONCERT that he keeps in immaculate condition. He enjoys cooking and sharing delicious recipes with lucky guests invited on board. An accomplished photographer, Tony’s photographs taken during his numerous cruises in the most remote islands around Taiwan draw the interest of other boaters to these relatively unknown locations. Having logged over 10,000nm in the last three years, Tony continues to sail regularly with Clients and participating in long-distance yacht deliveries.
