We are delighted to announce that the Beneteau Oceanis Yacht 62 has been awarded the European Yacht of The Year 2017 in the category of Luxury Cruiser at the recent Boot Düsseldorf, Europe’s biggest indoor yacht show, held on the last week of January. The European Yacht of the Year Awards are considered as the Oscars for the marine industry. This prestigious award comes as recognition of Beneteau’s innovation in taking details from the motorboat category and applying them to this innovative new range of sailing yacht.
The Oceanis Yacht 62 is ideally suited for the Asia region and is designed for refined and demanding yachtsmen to sail in comfort and elegance. She has a reassuring design that is balanced and manoeuvrable, with a chined hull, twin rudders and a perfectly centred sail plan.
The original layout of the Oceanis Yacht 62 is centred on a spacious saloon and separate spaces which offer enhanced privacy. Guests can enjoy the sea by making the most of an aft platform designed to serve as a terrace over the water. The transom opens wide creating a rear platform/terrace, accessed by a few safe steps located on either side of the dinghy garage. It all opens and closes with hydraulics, is extremely easy to access, and the dinghy garage makes launching and recovery considerably easier.
