Q: What keeps you motivated and driven?
A: My family are my key drivers and motivators.

Q: Who has been the biggest influence on you in your work and/or personal life?
A: For me, my biggest influence is my husband who is ever encouraging.

Q: What are some values you live by?
A: Courage – to do what needs to be done.
Kindness – treating others the way you want to be treated.
Integrity – to be honest and inspire others by my actions

Q: What do you hope to achieve in your work?
A: To be successful and be able to contribute positively to this incredible yachting industry

Q: What is your idea of success in the yachting industry?
A: To be competent in the market and provide the best after-sales service to our clients. I’m very proud of all that Simpson Marine offers in this respect.

Q: What is one piece of advice would you give to aspiring women who are keen to join this industry?
A: You will experience a different lifestyle and have the opportunity to travel and meet many people ­– I highly recommend pursuing a career in the yachting industry if you are interested.

Q: How did you get involved in the yachting industry?
A: A good friend recommended it to me and I have not looked back since.

Q: What is one change you would like to see in this industry?
A: Simpson Marine being the World Yachting Leader and building our own superyachts.

Q: What would you say is your biggest achievement in your career with Simpson Marine so far?
A: To be working with Simpson Marine is my biggest achievement. I am humbled to work for the company and take pride in being directly involved in the milestones of Simpson Marine Malaysia.

Q: What inspires you within what is undoubtedly a male-dominated industry?
A: I don’t see it as a male-dominating industry, though most of our brokers are male, but rather I believe that we are equal as we all have the same goal of delivering our best to the industry.

Q: What is your first memory of yachting?
A: The first time when I stepped on board an 80ft motoryacht. I remember feeling like a VVIP on the yacht.

Q: What is a must-do on a yacht for you?
A: Immerse yourself and enjoy every moment of it.

Q: Describe your perfect day on a yacht.
A: Sailing to the deepest blue sea and anchoring close to an exotic tropical island. There are so many beautiful islands to explore in Malaysia!
