Team on the Sea – Angel Zhou & Active “Grounded” Boating Summer 2020

The whole of summer 2020 was very unusual for me as it was entirely spent in Hong Kong due to the city’s wider travel restrictions, including within China, my home country. Therefore, I did not go back home or travel to Europe with friends like I’m used to. However, despite being “grounded,” it was a busy and happy summer helping my clients get out on their boats and enjoying my time with them and their families. I am a very keen water sports enthusiast so I taught a few of my yacht owner clients and their kids wake surfing, my favourite water sport of the moment.

We were lucky with amazing weather in Hong Kong with sunny skies every day, which is unusual for the summers that can get pretty humid and wet. Having sold a few Sanlorenzo yachts in early 2020, I have witnessed a growing community of the Sanlorenzo owners spending time together and arranging nice family gatherings and festivities together with their new boating friends. As such, we had owners of the Sanlorenzo 46Steel, SL86, SL78, SX76 enjoying quality time and building up friendships at sea. This was a very rewarding experience. We organised many themed dinners and beach picnics and enjoyed water sports to create special memories. I hope we can repeat this bonding experience in summer 2021 with more yachts joining the “fleet”.
