Simpson Marine supports RHKYC Sunset Series for the second year, with Simpson Marine’s David Walder on the podium in the Opening Regatta

Following the success of the Sunset Series organised by the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club (RHKYC) in 2018, Simpson Marine continues supporting to this popular summer race, with several members of the Simpson Marine team taking part themselves. Held over 12 Fridays throughout the summer months the series is open to all boats of the Big Boat, Dragon, Etchells, Flying Fifteen, Impala, J/80, Pandora, Ruffian and Sportsboat classes. Racing kicks off at 1740hrs, allowing participants to make the most of the early evening and enjoy some friendly racing.

The Series was officially launched for 2019 with a special Opening Regatta, during which Simpson Marine hosted guests on the Beneteau Oceanis 51.1. It was exhilarating to watch and we were very proud that David Walder, our Sales Manager and an avid sailor, was in the race and that his team ‘Ambush’ won first place.
