First Beneteau Figaro 3 to reach Hong Kong in just ten days – enquire for sea trials

In less than ten days we will witness a great event in Hong Kong – the arrival of the first Asia slot of the innovative Beneteau Figaro 3, sold by Simpson Marine into Taiwan. The Beneteau Figaro 3 is the first production foiling one-design monohull ever designed and is accredited with the ISO/World Sailing Design category A. The yacht’s length overall (LOA) is 10.85m with a beam of 3.47m and a standard sail area of 70 sqm. With a setback mast, a more extensive and larger sail plan, deeper keel and a ballast free hull, the model is as reliable as its predecessor, the Figaro 2. The foils have an inward facing profile which creates drift reduction and improves the boat’s righting moment without increasing the movement, which in turn increase performance. 50 boats have already been sold to Figaro Class members and will be launched all at once in 2019, meaning that all competitors will get the same amount of time to get to know their boat before completion. Only 30 units were assigned for private purchase in 2018 with all slots fully sold out! A true testament to the early popularity of this incredible design.
