First in Asia Lagoon SIXTY 5 Delivered to Hong Kong

It has certainly been a rewarding year in Asia for the upper end of the Lagoon catamarans range, as shown by the arrival of the sailing catamaran SIXTY 5 into Hong Kong. She joins the SIXTY 7 currently located in the city en route to her final destination, Taiwan.

A notable addition to the Lagoon big cats fleet, the SIXTY 5 measures 20.55m length overall, with a generous 10m at the beam and spans three levels with a huge flybridge. The yacht is all about volume, offering almost 200 sqm of living space (90 sqm inside and 87 sqm outside) and with up to six double cabins, each with their own heads.

For the interior fittings, the Nauta Design studio has once again used all its many talents to create a soft and contemporary atmosphere. The use of two types of woods, grey oak and darker wenge, plays on depth and contrasts. Other styles are available using walnut or light oak. The presence of indirect lighting, barely visible in the ceilings, also contributes towards creating a feeling of privacy and serenity in the cabins, starting with that of the owner.

The SIXTY 5 shares many of the features that have made Lagoon so successful, in particular spaciousness, stability, long range and the brand’s famous ease of handling.

Features include a twin-wheel flybridge, a forward cockpit with direct saloon access and 360° views through the wraparound windows of the famous Lagoon coachroof.

With the fully battened mainsail and furling genoa, the sail area amounts to 268m², allowing for comfortable cruising at 10+ knots, and 12+ knots with the Code 0 replacing the Genoa in established 19-20 knot wind conditions.

With the SIXTY 5, Lagoon has once again proved that it can capitalise on its undisputed expertise in catamaran design and construction, expanding further into quality finishes, luxury allure and attention to detail.
