Lagoon 55 Premieres in Asia in Hong Kong

We were delighted to host the Asia premiere of the spectacular sailing catamaran Lagoon 55 at a private showcase in Hong Kong in the relaxed setting of the Aberdeen Boat Club on Middle Island.

One of our most popular and much loved brands, Lagoon is the French leader in catamaran design and production and always draws a lot of attention from our owners and clients. Many of them came to see us in Middle Island on 20 October to discover this beautiful yacht, which was presented together with another popular model Lagoon 46, for themselves.

The Lagoon 55 presents a forward-thinking concept of lifestyle on board with her new on-board access and circulation that offer a brand new sensation of freedom at sea. The transoms are no longer just a circulation area but a real living space at anchor, for cooking in the outdoors or simply for dreaming with your feet in the water. The cockpit is totally open for a panoramic and unobstructed view, while the transoms have been designed not only for easier access, but also to become genuine additional living spaces.

The shipyard offers a number of interior layouts varying from three to six cabins depending on your preferred usage plan.

Designed by the VPLP team on the naval architecture side, this 16.56 metre long and 9 metre wide multihull was designed by Patrick le Quément for the exterior and Nauta Design for the interior. “The Lagoon 55 reveals a carefully created exterior design. All around, a deck bulwark lends the boat an elegant and refined profile, offering at the same time a protected promenade around the deck. The exterior design of the coachroof participates in the overall flowing appearance. It is animated ban integrated handrail which contributes to slimming down the overall impression of height in the coachroof, as well as featuring the now identifiable Lagoon graphic signature: a roof in perceived levitation” says Patrick le Quément, exterior designer.

Alongside the Lagoon 55 we presented the successful model Lagoon 46 that is both a great family cruiser and charter yacht.
