Sanlorenzo wins at Italian Deloitte Best Managed Company Awards 2018

At the recent inaugural Italian Deloitte Best Managed Company Awards 2018, held at Palazzo Mezzanotte in Milan, Sanlorenzo was named ‘’Best Managed Company.’’ The Awards aim to acknowledge excellent Italian companies that have stood out for their strategy, capability, commitment and performance, and Sanlorenzo fits the bill perfectly.

Sanlorenzo, a true leader in the nautical world, won this prestigious award thanks to a winning strategy that has allowed it to experience significant growth over the last decade, climbing the international rankings and positioning itself at the top in the production of yachts over 24 metres. It was particularly special for the company to receive this award in 2018, as this year it celebrates its 60th year of business.

The role of Massimo Perotti, Chairman and CEO of Sanlorenzo since 2005, has been fundamental to the company’s success, with Perotti guiding the company over the years with passion, determination and entrepreneurial vision. This tactic has enhanced the brand’s know-how and tradition for craftsmanship, while introducing important innovations that have allowed Sanlorenzo to stand out by profoundly changing the yachting industry.

Since originating in Canada in 1993 the Award ceremony has gained global recognition, and is recognized as a prestigious acknowledgement for leading businesses. Andrea Restelli, Deloitte partner in charge of the awards ceremony, comments: “The response we had in this first [Italian] edition was surprising and allowed us to detect the existence of real excellence on the whole national territory: different sizes and sectors, located in all Italian regions, which proved to be solid not only in terms of performance, but also for the ability to structure long-term strategies and for innovation and internationalization skills and the interpretation of an active role in the ecosystem in which they operate. Italian entrepreneurship is proving once again capable of generating value in traditional sectors and in the most innovative contexts, in which BMC companies are undisputed protagonists.”

With a turnover of 300 million euros and over 900 yachts built in the course of its history, Sanlorenzo continues to invest in its future with an investment of over 60 million euros set for the next two years, allocated to research and development, the construction of new products and the expansion and renovation of production facilities.
