Simpson Marine Awarded “Best Distributor in APAC” & “Lagoon Event of the Year” by Lagoon Catamarans

Simpson Marine is proud to have been awarded “Best Distributor in Asia-Pacific” and “Lagoon Event of the Year” at the 2021 Lagoon webinar held online for Lagoon dealers from all over the world in early January. This online event replaced the usual Lagoon Dealer Meeting held every summer in Bordeaux, France due to travel restrictions in place in most of countries.

Being recognised with these two popular awards is yet another demonstration of Lagoon’s success in Asia-Pacific over the past year, with strong sales across Asia for most of the range’s models. The highly anticipated arrival of the SIXTY 7 motoryacht is also scheduled for this spring in Hong Kong.

Simpson Marine’s small and local events have also proved popular, with the Hong Kong Boating Weekend in November bringing together three Lagoon catamarans and featuring an engaging “Take The Helm” workshop on how to dock a catamaran in a safe and easy way. The event, which was held in the scenic Middle Island ABC, was awarded APAC’s best Lagoon event in 2021.

Lagoon Catamarans (part of the Beneteau Group) was one of the very first brands that Simpson Marine partnered with, since Simpson Marine was founded in 1984, and it has subsequently forged a strong presence in the Asian market with a significant number of Lagoon Catamarans sold and delivered to Asia. The charter fleet has also registered significant growth, making a Lagoon catamaran the most enquired about yacht brand for yacht charters throughout Asia.
