French builder Beneteau presents the Oceanis 48, which is designed for long-range cruising and excellent seakeeping. This cruising sailboat is also an adept performer, aided by the Performance Pack. The Performance Pack includes D4 sails, designed by the sailmaker Incidences specifically for the Oceanis 48, and the German System allows the sails to be easily trimmed from the helm station, making handling of this yacht easy even with a small crew.
The layout offers versions in three, four or five cabins. In the three-cabin layout, there is a huge owner’s suite forward, which has an Italian-style shower, organised storage and luxurious details. The contemporary interior is highlighted in either light oak or classic mahogany. There are two bathrooms in total, both with toilets and separate shower. A large amount of windows let light into the saloon below, with nine flush deck hatches, six large portholes in the hull, and the companionway glazed hatch.
