The profile of the Viking 62 Enclosed Bridge Convertible makes powerful statement, both as she cuts across the water to reach the fishing grounds at top speed and at rest. An unbroken sheerline sweeps from bow to stern and nearly eight feet of freeboard at the bow along with the flush foredeck give her graceful yet commanding lines.
The Viking 62EB looks fast and she is capable of high performance, reaching top speeds of more than 42 knots powered by twin 1,925hp Caterpillar C32-A engines (one of the four power options). She is constructed with a priority on strength to weight ratio – the composite cored hull is resin infused with a high modulus of kevlar, carbon fibre and fibreglass laminates, all selected in order to reduce weight and increase strength. Interior appointments are are honeycomb backed to save weight further.
The interior gives the impression of a much larger yacht than her 63 feet LOA would suggest. Thanks to a 19-foot beam, the salon is spacious and has a home theatre system with a 46-inch flat screen TV and a Bose sound system. The galley is a wonderful space for cooking, featuring granite countertops and top of the line appliances. A choice of a three- or four-stateroom layout can be had, with the master stateroom amidships hosting a queen-size bed and floor-to-ceiling closets.
