Lagoon 46 by Martin MacIntyre, Senior Yacht Broker, Singapore

The new generation of Lagoon 46’s centered rigging comes directly from VPLP design’s research.

The mast, being further aft, reduces the length of the boom, increases the mainsail aspect ratio and enhances efficiency. Centering the masses limits pitching and eases the boat’s motion, with better handling coming from the self-tacking jib.

The Lagoon 46’s flybridge has one space with two functions, modular sun pads and a helm station, providing a great balance between comfort and maneuverability. Various Bimini options give great flexibility.

Created to accommodate up to 12 guests, the forward cockpit of the Lagoon 46 has been designed as a true living space. The one-level cockpit provides easy and amazing space, and there are fantastic views and easy access to the helm and sea. The seating here converts into sun pads, equipped with adjustable backrests for easy lounging and there’s a lazy boy for relaxing by the dining area, which seats 12 people (with the sliding bench). The aft crossbeam with seating makes the cockpit a great socialising area whilst moored or under way.

The 40m2 interior offers 360-degree views, while the sliding sash window and indoor-outdoor flow on a single level enhances the feeling of comfort and space. Three or four cabin versions offer fantastic versatility. Spacious conditions, great views and plenty of light are a given on this Lagoon 46. She has a level of space and comfort that make her a delight to use.

The gullwing bridge deck makes for a smooth ride through the waves, with optimised form and volume and no loss of performance. Wide side decks and flush deck hatches mean ease of movement on deck.

A single davit system or optional tender lift platform make the tender easy to use, and wide transom skirts mean easy boarding, whether you’re moored, at anchor or berthed. Two wide and low cantilevered steps enable easy access to the cockpit.

There’s plenty of stowage space and the option to add modern conveniences such as an exterior galley and refrigeration storage in the cockpit. An integral low table protecting the windlass and three large stowage lockers makes for a great separated area on deck.

Dual access to the helm station from starboard and port sides of the deck and the cockpit give great flowing access to the helm. This wide and welcoming helm station is on the central line for perfect protection and all-round visibility.  She has a 900mm helm wheel for precision and ease of operation.  All handling facilities are grouped together with the mainsail traveller on an electric block ‘‘flat winder’’ for easy use.

The galley is as well-equipped as any home kitchen, with amenities such as hob, oven and stainless-steel sink with ample stowage. It’s on the same level as the saloon and connected to the cockpit so you can stay in tune with your surroundings. There are 360-degree views and great use of space.

Singapore currently has a brand new Lagoon 46 berth at One Degree Fifteen Marina and is available with immediate delivery. Contact the team at lagoon@simpsonmarine.com to enquire about her today.
