A main role of the recently launched Simpson Sailing Academy is helping to grow a love for sailing in the Pattaya region. Whether you are a beginner just learning how to sail, or a veteran yachtsman or woman, we have a programme for you – we welcome you to learn more about all the courses we have on offer and come and enjoy the pleasure of sailing with us.

The Simpson Sailing Academy is backed by the generous support of a passionate Bangkok-based businessman who developed a love for sailing over the past three years, and who wants to help the youth of Thailand develop their own love for the sport.

The Academy is set to play an important role in introducing more young people to sailing in Thailand, especially in the main boating areas of Gulf of Thailand, Phuket’s Phang Nga Bay and the Andaman Sea.

The Simpson Sailing Academy has a fleet of five Beneteau First 14’s, two First 18’s and one First 27 with larger cruising yachts also being considered in the near future. These First models are ideal all-rounders, and easy to handle, allowing students to learn and build their confidence in sailing. Our aim is to grow the fleet to approximately 20 boats within 18 months and host a series of racing and water-based orienteering activities for students.

Courses on offer include the International Yacht and Maritime Training (IYT) courses of Dinghy Bronze through to Platinum, and Small Powerboat and RIB Master certifications.
