Fish for Trash – second edition doubles attendees

The second edition of “FISH FOR TRASH” event organized by the “Save Aberdeen Harbour Alliance” once again successfully engaged local community to help protect the sea from rubbish and pollution. On Saturday 6th August we saw more than 80 volunteers and several NGO groups collecting 154 bags of marine litter in just five hours, including 1,100 plastic bottles, 1,600 polystyrene boxes, 8,200 pieces of plastic cutlery and over 10,000 random pieces of food packaging. What a sad trophy!

Along with the other partners such as Aberdeen Boat Club, Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club (RHKYC), the Harbour School, Living Lamma, Plastic Free Seas, HK Cleanup, HK’s Clean Up Crew, WWF Hong Kong and Eco Marine, we are are very proud to be a part of this and future initiatives. If you want to join us next time, please e-mail at hongkong@simpsonmarine.com. Bring friends, good energy and let’s help save the seas together!
