Hong Kong Sunset Series kicks off with record 56 entries and Aquila 36 as spectator yacht

Simpson Marine is happy to have partnered for the third year in a row with the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club and support its popular and relaxed Sunset Series regatta, running through 12 consecutive Fridays over summer in Hong Kong each year. At the regatta we particularly our flagship sailboat brands Beneteau and Lagoon, and our charter division – Simpson Yacht Charter.

Although the sun left us for week one of the 2020 Sunset Series, the record 56 boats on the water kicked off the weekend in outstanding style. As a supporting sponsor for the third consecutive year, Simpson Marine was happy to provide a new Aquila 36 as a spectator boat for the guests to enjoy the action from the front row. It was great to see all the teams in the club and we are looking forward to enjoying this fun and friendly regatta every Friday throughout summer.

Week two enjoyed some of spring’s most spectacular sunsets, with another 50-plus yachts racing in the harbour. We look forward to the next evening filled with a friendly, enjoyable atmosphere for fellow boaters in the club after racing.
