Lagoon catamarans nominated in 3 categories as Best European Multihull of the Year

With innovation at the core, Lagoon launches more exciting projects every boating season. Presented at Cannes last September were the two new generation Lagoons—the 40 and the 50—as well as the flagship model, the SEVENTY 8. Having proved extremely popular, these models are now receiving even more recognition from the industry experts. The great news for ushering in Year 2018 is that all the three catamarans have been nominated as ‘Multihull of the Year’ 2018.

Starting from the end of 2017, well-known catamaran-based magazine Multihulls World is collaborating with the International Multihull Boat show for the first ‘Multihull of the Year’ awards. There are four categories at the 2018 awards – Under 40 Feet, 40 to 50 Feet, Over 50 Feet, and Power Multihulls. The Lagoon 40 and 50 are nominated in the 40 to 50 Feet category, while the SEVENTY 8 is nominated in the Power Multihulls category.

The Lagoon 40 and 50 are the synergies of Lagoon’s innovation. The 40 is endowed with a VPLP hull structure, an increased sail area, and a mast step positioned further aft. The 50 features a large open cockpit facing out to sea, a flybridge with the helm station, a comfortable foredeck, and an innovative saloon.
