Lagoon SEVENTY 8 Sold into Hong Kong

We are delighted to announce the recent sale of a Lagoon motoryacht flagship – the SEVENTY 8 – into Hong Kong, with expected delivery due in Summer 2022. The Lagoon SEVENTY 8 will add to the growing fleet of Lagoon catamarans in the city with an example of nearly every model now based in Hong Kong, including the popular Lagoon 40, Lagoon 42, Lagoon 46, Lagoon 50 and the recently arrived SIXTY 5.

In 2022 we will also welcome the Lagoon 55, with a new aft cockpit concept and further styling and space evolutions, and the SIXTY 7 motoryacht. It is no surprise that the Lagoon fleet continues to grow in Asia. With over 6000 Lagoon catamarans cruising the world and exploring the marvels of the seas with families, couples and friendship groups, the name Lagoon has become a synonym for “a home at sea”.

The flagship Lagoon SEVENTY 8 is a 24-metre long and a dazzling 11-metre beam motoryacht designed by Lagoon’s long-term partners VPLP for the naval architecture, Patrick Le Quement for the exterior design, and Nauta Design for the superyacht-like interiors. Luxury and comfort are keywords for this striking vessel. Its timelessly elegant silhouette and the harmonious forms of its roof go hand in hand with large volumes to create an uncompromising world of true luxury and space.

One outstanding feature on this yacht is the bow platform, which offers 250m² on the main deck, with fore and aft cockpits of 15 and 35m² respectively, and a 70m² panoramic saloon. Add a flybridge of 35m² and you have an area where a jacuzzi can be installed upon request. In the hulls are a 20m² galley with adjoining crew quarters, a 25m² owner’s suite with a retractable terrace (the “must-have” of this boat) and two VIP cabins at 20m² each. In all, more than 350m² of this boat can be used as living space which is simply unheard of for a vessel of 24m long.

Lagoon Catamarans have proved to be one of the most popular brands with Asian buyers because of the increased stability and space they offer, making them ideal for entertaining large groups of family and friends in safety and comfort. In addition, the twin hull design and shallow draft allows access to secluded bays and coral reefs normally inaccessible to mono-hulls or powerboats. The SEVENTY 8 takes this concept and the shipyard’s commitment to safety and comfort to unprecedented levels.
