New Monte Carlo Yachts 70 receives ‘Most Achieved’ Trophy in Cannes. First Asia Sold new MCY 70 due in to Thailand in October

Once again, Monte Carlo Yachts has been recognized with a prestigious acknowledgement for its world-class product design and development. Their MCY 70 model, unveiled at Boot Dusseldorf 2019 and first presented to the public during a charming event in Trieste together with the new MCY 66 and MCY 76, won the ‘Most Achieved’ award category in the 64’-80’ segment at the World Yacht Trophies organised by Yachts France magazine.

The MCY 70 was the first of a new generation of yachts inspired by the yard’s guiding vision and values. Developed with the lifestyle of the customer in mind, the MCY 70 features even larger interior volumes, wider views, increased brightness, and expanded customisation options that are made possible by the company’s revolutionary naval architecture and production processes.

“What does being the Most Achieved Yacht mean nowadays?” asks Fabrizio Iarrera, Monte Carlo Yachts’ General Manager. “It means having been able to conceive and construct a boat that meets the new needs of true cruising enthusiasts. There is, in fact, a return to intrinsic product values: quality rises again as a priority in purchasing choices of the yacht owners. Conquering this recognition today therefore means winning an award of absolute quality.”

The new MCY 70 perfectly embodies Monte Carlo Yachts’ values, and the Nuvolari Lenard design emphasises the yacht’s role as a home-away-from home with particular attention given to wider interior volumes and enlarged exterior entertainment areas where shaped bulwarks, new portholes and windows create an even more immersive relationship with the natural elements.

“The new MCY 70 is a great achievement,” say Dan Lenard and Carlo Nuvolari, Monte Carlo Yachts’ designers. “It represents the natural evolution of everything that distinguishes the MCY Collection and takes it further. It is unmistakably part of that family in concept, looks and design, but it is also unique in the subtle touches and enhanced spaces it offers onboard.”

“All the reactions that we have registered in the past months, ever since the boat was launched in Dusseldorf, confirm that stepping aboard the MCY 70 is a real thrill,” adds Iarrera. “We are certain that visiting the yacht will reinforce these impressions.” In fact, when coming on board visitors will discover even more additional details on the internal and external solutions.

The MCY 70 was on show at the Cannes Yachting Festival alongside the MCY Collection. The first hull in Asia has been sold in Thailand by Simpson Marine and is expected to arrive in the country in October 2019.
