Pattaya Optimist World Championship supported by Beneteau

This July, the Optimist World Championship was held in Royal Varuna Sailing Club, Pattaya and welcomed 62 countries with over 288 sailors to this edition.

Just around the corner from our office in Ocean Marina Pattaya Yacht Club, Nicole van de Wall, our experienced yacht broker and avid sailor was at the event to catch the excitement and magic that happened on the water. It was a fantastic and exhilarating sight to see world class sailing happening Pattaya’s waters.

Nicole embarked on a sailing cruise on the 16th of July with a few yacht owners to see the team racing and headed for lunch after.

We were also jointly supported by Beneteau in this event and also had the SV14 on display by Disabled Sailing Thailand.

Congratulations to the winning teams from USA, China and Malaysia and all teams that took part in this successful sailing event. Looking forward to 2018!
