Mike Simpson is a pioneer of Asia’s yachting industry and has played a leading role in the growth of the yachting lifestyle across the region over the last 40 years.
He has accumulated an extensive network and knowledge of shipyards, manufacturers and yacht construction that is unparalleled in the Asia market and is now focused on driving our Superyacht Division with quite a few superyacht transactions in the region.
Considered as a key opinion leader in Asia, Mike is proactively acting on behalf of the local maritime community to liaise with governments and encourage them to provide more support to the industry with the construction of new marinas in the region and more sailing friendly regulations.
Mike is fluent in English, Chinese, French and German, his language skills refined through his many years spent cruising the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Atlantic and South China Sea.
Richard brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from the UK where he was the Beneteau Brand Manager for Ancasta International. With over 15 years of working with the Beneteau shipyards and very good understanding of the leisure boat charter market, he is constantly looking for new charter opportunities and aiming to provide the best yacht purchasing experience to all clients throughout South East Asia. He is certainly one of our best sailors in the company with a long record of regattas and races in his log.
Hailing from the UK, Nick Stratton was the brokerage manager at UK’s largest brokerage firm, Ancasta International Boat Sales for five years where he oversaw an office responsible for sales of more than 50 boats a year.
He received his professional training as a yacht broker at the Yacht Brokers, Designers and Surveyors Association (YBDSA), UK.
Nick moved to Singapore to join Simpson Marine in 2010 having recognised the tremendous growth potential for yachting in Asia. Young and dynamic, Nick has completed over 300 sales in his career and has a wealth of knowledge on buying, selling and running yachts in SEA.
Nick has a passion to promote the yachting lifestyle in Singapore and the Southeast Asia region and can be found most weekends out on his own boat in Singapore.
Before being nominated as Sanlorenzo Sales Manager, Nick was Singapore Country Sales Manager for the past 3 years.
David has worked for Simpson Marine in Hong Kong since 2013 and has delivered dream power and sailing yachts to his clients both in Hong Kong and around the globe, while achieving a variety of sales accolades . He prides himself on his honest approach to business, building long-term, trusted relationships and promising to deliver what he says he will. By gaining a deep and thorough understanding of his clients needs, David provides the best possible solution, ranging from semi-custom new build yachts, new production yachts or brokerage yachts.
David has been a keen and passionate yachtsman all of his life, having grown up in and around boats. After studying Maritime Leisure Management at University in the U.K., David was fortunate enough to be able to turn his passion into a career by working as a Yacht Broker on the South Coast of England for Europe’s largest boat sales brokerage in 2003. This laid the foundations for his extensive knowledge of power and sailing yachts and in particular of a whole host of European power boat brands including Fairline, Beneteau Yachts and Lagoon Catamarans.
David has Boat Retailers and Brokers Association (BRBA) boat sales qualifications and has received Association of Brokers and Yacht Agents (ABYA) training. He is an active member of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club and Aberdeen Boat Club and spends most of his free time cruising Hong Kong’s waters on power and sailing boats. He regularly takes part in both in-shore and off-shore sailing regattas and races on Etchells and Beneteaus – frequently resulting in podium finishes.
Ewa brings nine years’ experience in the yachting PR and Marketing and a strong reputation amongst international industry members.
Her role concentrates on establishing and implementing Simpson Marine’s corporate communication across Asia and internationally and launching powerful marketing campaigns for Sanlorenzo, Bluegame and Aquila together with the existing brands of Beneteau and Lagoon with a clear goal to position these excellence-driven brands as leaders in their sectors throughout South East Asia.
She is actively following all latest marketing tendencies and focuses on driving digital strategies across the company. During her first year at Simpson Marine she was working from the Shanghai office and in August 2016 she relocated to Hong Kong Headquarters. She is fluent in five languages – Polish, English, French, Spanish, Mandarin and can speak Italian, Portuguese and Japanese on a conversational level.
Reanna Wang started her nautical career in 2009, servicing major European shipyards in the APAC market. She had earned her reputation particularly from an effective B2B sales network development. In 2015, she joined a China importer of a German production shipyard in its Hong Kong office, aiming to launch their yacht charter division. With her expertise of charter business development, Reanna has joined Simpson Marine in February 2017 in order to further strengthen the growing charter businesses in Asia and already developed a charter fleet with Charter Management Program for buyers throughout Asia. Reanna is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, English and German.
Prior to joining Simpson Marine, May was working in yacht charter in Hong Kong for eight years. At work May’s biggest satisfaction is to see her customers, often friends, have good experience on charter. Privately she loves jogging and travelling.
Tom was born in London and grew up in various parts of the world before working for over ten years in the United States. Tom is always curious about people and their respective cultures, and Hong Kong has always captivated him. In early-2016, Tom fulfilled a lifelong dream and moved to Hong Kong, which happily led him to Simpson Marine. Tom’s father grew up boating off the east coast of the United States, and both his love and respect for being on the water were quickly passed on to Tom and his younger brother. After childhood summers sailing and boating in Maine, Tom spent recent adult years enjoying the waters near Boston Harbor and also in the vicinity of Palm Beach, Florida. A day spent boating is a day well spent, and this is something Tom looks forward to sharing with you.
Windie Tsoi, born and raised in Hong Kong has always had a passion for the sea. Having served two years in the Sanlorenzo Asia division of Simpson Marine, Windie is well versed in all aspects of brokerage and new yacht sales. Windie is driven by the goal of bringing clients’ ideas to life and in creating memorable yachting experiences across Simpson’s extensive brand portfolio.
Windie enjoys a variety of water sports from sailing to water-skiing and loves nothing more than a weekend afloat. Her adventurous nature means there is always a story to share!
Ronnie is an experienced boating professional with 30 years’ experience in manufacturing, production, engineering, and significant contribution both in the marine and service sectors. Ronnie has joined us in early 2021 from Perth in Australia which has been his home for the last 6 years. He has been running a large boat yard overseeing luxury yacht lift outs, maintenance programmes and providing Yacht Care for owners. Ronnie is originally from Scotland and has spent a number of years working with one of the UKs leading Yacht manufacturers prior to relocating to Australia.
Being trained in various automobile brands like Toyota and gained 15 years of in depth technical and electrical systems experience, Craig is now responsible for all the day to day service operation including the commissioning of new yachts and ensures top quality service support for each individual customers and Simpson Marine sales team. Craig regularly attends brand trainings programs in Europe to solidify his knowledge.
With over 20 years of experience as marine designer and boat builder, Richard worked on challenging projects that require innovative ideas and approaches. He brings a wealth of knowledge from boat building and construction to yacht servicing to Simpson Marine team. Richard speaks English and Mandarin.
