Sanlorenzo Announces Collaboration with Axpo Energy for the Solar Panels and Energy Solutions on Production Plants

Sanlorenzo, steadfast in its commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility, has embarked on a significant journey to reduce its carbon footprint through an exciting collaboration with Axpo Energy Solutions Italia. By establishing three new photovoltaic plants at its sites in Ameglia, Sanlorenzo aims to curb its emissions by over 600 tons of CO2 annually.

Greening the Shipyards: Photovoltaic Plants

Three new photovoltaic plants have been established at Sanlorenzo’s production sites in Ameglia, La Spezia, and Viareggio. These installations are strategically located to enhance sustainability across the company’s operations:

La Spezia: Where superyacht production takes place.

Ameglia: The Spezzino municipality housing Sanlorenzo’s main headquarters.

Viareggio: The historic heart of Italian yachting.

The combined capacity of these photovoltaic plants is 1.5 MW, complementing the existing 500 kW already in place at Sanlorenzo’s facilities. By harnessing solar energy, Sanlorenzo aims to lower greenhouse gas emissions and promote sustainable energy supply. The group also plans to further increase the installed capacity to 3.1 MW by the end of 2024.
