The Lagoon 55 Wins Multihull of the Year Award in Britain

Lagoon is delighted to announce that the new model Lagoon 55, Lagoon’s new sailing yacht, has won the Multihull of the Year award at the British Yachting Awards 2021.

This award was given by the readers of the magazines Sailing Today and Yachts & Yachting. These are the most established and respected British media outlets and they recognize the best boats, sailors, races, and achievements in the world of cruising and racing.

The announcement of the award was made at the British Yachting Awards ceremony in London on 30 November. In testament to the appeal of her overall design, the Lagoon 55 had also been nominated for European yacht of the Year 2022 and for Multihull of the Year 2022.

The work of Nauta Design, the Lagoon 55 stands out thanks to an overall modern classic look that boasts curved lines that are both artistic and futuristic. Offering the same bright and elegant spaces previously found only on larger vessels, the boat’s interiors are designed to maximise spaces and provide magnificent views for all guest. With plenty of room for gathering, dining, sleeping, sunbathing and more to slow down and unwind at sea, this is a versatile model with endless appeal.

Like skylights on the water, overhead windows add to the natural ambience in the saloon which is the heart of onboard living. By bringing the outdoors inside, these windows open the interiors up to an abundance of light and create a seamless connection between those on board and the natural landscapes that surround them.
